Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), Antigonos I Monophthalmos, as Strategos of Asia, (320-306/5 B.C., or king, 306/5-301 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.74 g), Teos mint, obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus Aetophoros seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, monogram to left above **P*, to right [ALEXANDROU], (cf.S.6730, Price 2299). Deeply toned, good fine - nearly very fine and rare.
