Macedon, Kingdom of, Philip II, silver tetradrachm, 359-336 B.C., issued 355-349/8 B.C. at Amphipolis mint, Pella period IA, (14.16 g), obv. laureate head of Zeus to right, rev. king on horse wearing kausia pacing to left, his right hand raised, **FILIP POU* around, to left M, (S.6677 [p.618], Muller 266, Le Rider Group IB, 52-55, SNG ANS 467, HGC 3, 861). Toned, nearly very fine/very fine and rare.
