Italy, Bruttium, Croton, (c.520 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm (7.12 g), obv. Delphic tripod with three legs terminating in lion's feet, two serpents emerging from base legs, set on exergual line with pellets pattern, pellet border, **QPO* to left, rev. Delphic tripod incuse in flan, (cf.S.225, cf.Weber 997, cf.SNG ANS 230, cf.SNG Manchester 306, SNG Cop.1740 (similar dies), cf.Gale 1). Toned, with some hoard patination, obverse well centred, very fine and rare.
