Italy, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.400-340 BC), silver nomos (stater) (7.54 g), obv. head of Demeter to left, rev. barley ear of seven grains with ivy leaf to right above leaf, **METAP[O]* on left upwards, (cf.S.405, Noe 522 [same dies], HN Italy 1545, SNG ANS 389 [same dies]). Good fine or better and scarce.
