Italy, Campania, Neapolis (Naples), (c.340-240 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm, (7.225 grams), obv. head of nymph to right, bunch of grapes behind, rev. bull walking to right, crowned by Nike flying right above, below monogram of **PD, below exergue [N]EOPOLITHS, (cf.S.307, Sambon 439, SNG ANS 318 [same dies], SNG Cop. 399). Toned, very fine and a scarce symbol.
