Justinian I, (A.D. 527-565), folles, Antioch mint, issued after 528, obv. Justinian enthroned facing, holding long sceptre, rev. M, star to l., crescent to r., and cross above, and Officinae B, over mintmark Theup, (S.214, D.O.206b). Fine, scarce.

Ex.M.R. Roberts with his ticket The obverse is unique for this ruler, with the seated emperor facing, but this design became the model for his nephew Justin II.
