Algernon Hope Carlisle, business manager, age 31, born at Brunswick, Vic; Enl.15Feb1916 at Perth, WA; attended NCO's School; to Cpl 09May1916; Emb.22Sep1916; qualified first class at 7th Rifle Course at School of Musketry, Tidworth 29Jan-21Feb1917 and passed as having a fair knowledge of Lewis Gun; various NCO temporary promotions and then after attending Officer Cadet Battalion at Oxford was app't 2/Lieut 01Aug1917; TOS 7Bn 22Aug1917 in France; Trf to 28Bn 25Aug1917; app't Lieut 20Jan1918 in Belgium; detached to 2nd Div Canteen and then to Finance Sect:AIF London as a finance officer and later struck off strength on 27Mar1919; RTA 28Mar1919; App't terminated 28Jun1919; Algernon Carlisle died at Perth, WA in 1961 at the of 77.
