Parthia, Kingdom of, Mithradates I, (c.171-138 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.96 grams), Hekatompylos mint, obv. large bust to left in bashlyk, rev. archer seated right on omphalos, two line inscription no symbol, (cf.S.7327, cf.Sellwood 9.1, cf.Shore 7). With cut in edge, otherwise good fine, and a very rare variant.

Ex. Sotheby sale Feb. 16, 1972 (lot 294 part). The obverse with large head is from a Sellwood type 5 (Shore No.3, Sear 7324) of Arsaces II.
