Italy, Calabria, Taras, (334-330 B.C.), silver stater, (8.0 grams), obv. naked horseman at full gallop on horse to right, holding javelins and shield, below **ADI*, rev. Taras astride a dolphin to left, holding a shield with hippocamp and a trident on right shoulder, below a purple shell, to left **FI*, to right **[TA]PAS, (cf.S.342, Vl.596, SNG ANS 992). Good very fine.
