Faustina Senior, wife of Antoninus Pius, (died A.D. 141), posthumous issue, AE dupondius or as, issued 142, Rome Mint, (9.94 g), obv. draped bust to right of Faustina, around DIVA AVGVS TA FAVSTINA, rev. S C in exergue, crescent moon surmounted by seven stars, (S.4658, RIC 1199, C.275). Attractive dark brown patina, very fine and scarce. $$ Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection. Previously Seaby, 7 February 1958 with ticket.
