Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm (Lorber describes as a stater), (14.10 g), Tyre mint, issued prior to 274 B.C, obv. head of Ptolemy I to right wearing aegis, **D* behind head, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front club and O above, plain between legs around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU*, (S.7837, CTE 558, Sv.640, BMC 78, cf.SNG Cop 477). Bright, very fine and rare.
