India, Sultans of Delhi, Shams al-Din Kaiqubad, (A.H. 689, A.D. 1290), silver tanka, (10.74 g), Hadrat Delhi Mint, AH 689, [date and mint off flan], (G&G D178, R.961). Very fine and very rare.

G&G note that the coins of this ephemeral pretender are very rare. Only a few examples noted in Coin Archives a similar example sold in 2020 by Dix Noonan Webb (Sale 170, lot 37) realised £1500, another sold by Noble 119 (lot 3187) realised $2200.
