USA, Legion of Merit (Officer) with bronze oak leaf cluster, reverse inscribed in centre, 'George R/Mitchell', also a riband with oak leaf cluster and an enamel riband lapel badge, together with bullion embroidered Brigadier General rank badges (2), all stored in a Distinguished Service Cross case; Trio: Navy Good Conduct Medal with one bronze star (denotes subsequent enlistment), American Defense Medal, American Campaign Medal, swing mounted; WWII Victory Medal, and Good Conduct Medal enamel riband lapel badge, also a WWII Marine's metal dog tag with fingerprint on one side and the other side impressed, 'Franz,/Richard B./465263/TET-12/42/TYPE-O/USMCR'.
