Group of Seven: British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19; 1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. 2267 Pte H.J.Wilkinson 46 Bn AIF on first and second medals, VX45489 H.J.Wilkinson on third to seventh medals. All medals impressed. Very fine.
MM Recommendation: 25Sep1918 'East of Peronne on 18/19th September 1918. His work as stretcher bearer was full of gallantry and remarkable endurance. He worked unceasingly bandaging and carrying wounded under severe enemy machine gun fire. His disregard of all danger to himself greatly encouraged all who saw him'.

Together with photocopies of Discharge Certificates for WWI and WWII, two pages service record and a signed note of congratulations to Pte H.J.Wilkinson from Major-General E.G.Sinclair MacLagan C.B., D.S.O., Commanding 4th Australian Division, 'On his fine work and disregard of danger when rescuing wounded comrades on 18th September 1918 near St Quentin'. With folds, creases and some pieces missing to last item.
