Philip I, (A.D. 244-249), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 244-245, (17.55 g), obv. laureate bust of Philip I to right draped and cuirassed, around IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, rev. around FIDES MILITVM, S C across field, Fides standing to left, holding two standards, (S.8994, RIC 172a, C.59) (illustrated); another, (17.31 g), rev. Fortuna seated left, holding rudder and cornucopiae, wheel beneath seat, (S.8996, RIC 174a); another, (19.56 g), rev. Pax standing left, holding olive branch and sceptre, (S.9002, RIC 184a, C.105); another, (21.41 g), rev. four standards, the outside two plain, the second topped with a hand, the third topped by an eagle, (S.8993, RIC 171a, C.51). Toned, fine - nearly very fine, one holed for suspension. (4)
