Septimus Severus, (A.D.193-211), silver denarius, issued 200, Rome Mint (3.65g), obv. laureate head right, around SEVERVS AVG PART MAX, rev. PROVID AVGG around, Providentia standing left holding rod and sceptre, globe at feet, (S.6354, RIC 494, RSC 586); another issued, 201, Rome Mint (3.46g), obv. laureate head to right, around SEVERVS PIVS AVG, rev. PART MAX P M TR P VIIII, two captured Parthians either side of trophy base (cf.6323, RIC 176, RSC 370). Very fine. (2)
