Nero, (A.D. 54-68), AE dupondius, issued c.65, Rome mint, (14.94 g), obv. radiate head to right of Nero, around NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P IMP PP, rev. view of temple of Janus with latticed window to right and door on left, around PACE PR TERRA MARIQ PARTA IANVM CLVSIT, S C across field, (S.1964, RIC 284/287, C.135). Bronze toning, struck on a very broad flan, mild surface pitting, good very fine and scarce.
