Octavian and Julius Caesar, (assasinated 44 B.C.), AE dupondius, Lugdunum Mint (Lyon), (17.65 g), obv. laureate head of Julius Caesar left, Octavian to right, palm branch between, around IMP CAESAR DIVI F DIVI IVLI, rev. prow of ship right with decorative eye and globe above, COPIA below, (S.-, RPC 516). Clipped lower flan, otherwise very fine.
