Lucius Verus, (A.D. 161-169), gold aureus, issued 165, Rome mint, (6.95g), obv.L. VERVS AVG ARM PAR MAX, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. Victory standing right, placing a shield inscribed VIC AVG in two lines, on a palm tree, around TR P V IMP III COS II, (cf.RIC.534, S.5338). Ex mount, otherwise good very fine.
