Edward VI, (1547-1553), second period, contemporary copy of the base silver shilling, Southwark Mint, mm Y, issued 1549, (6.41 g), (cf.S.2466B, cf.N.1917/2). Large round flan, small attempted piercing on centre of reverse, otherwise nearly fine and rare.
