Edward IV, (first reign 1461-1470). Heavy coinage 1468-9, silver halfpenny, (0.45 g), London Mint, mm rose, Group II, quatrefoils by bust, rev. CIVI TAS LOn DOn around, (S.1990, N.1546). Nearly extremely fine and rare.
Ex Mark E. Freehill Collection, from Spink & Son, London with their tickets in August 2001, coming earlier from the Longbottom Sale (lot 193), Lord Grantley Sale (lot 1431), the Richard Cyril Lockett Collection (lot 3137) and finally from Glendining's 17th April 1985 (loit 174).
