Henry III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross issue, class 3c, issued 1248-1250, HVG/E ON/NOR/WIZ, (1.29 g), rev. Norwich Mint, (S.1364, N.988). Extremely fine and rare.
Ex Mark E. Freehill Collection, and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 60 (lot 3620) and from the Richard Cyril Lockett collection with ticket (10/-) and illustrated on supplementary plate 77 (row 10 no 1), Glendining's June 6-9 1955 (lot 1204 part) and with Dave Hess, Baton Rouge Louisiana envelope.
