Henry III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross issue, class 3b, issued 1248-1250, (1.498 g), rev. IAC/OB O/N BR/VST, Bristol Mint, (S.1363, N.987/1). Round and well centred, extremely fine with full ethnic, very scarce.
Ex Mark E. Freehill Collection, from Noble Numismatics Sale 60 (lot 3608), previously from the Richard Cyril Lockett collection with his ticket (5/-) and illustrated from the supplementary plate 77 (row 5 no 2) and from Glendining's June 6-9 1955 (lot 1203 part) and with Dave Hess, Baton Rouge Louisiana envelope.
