Edward the Confessor, (1042-1066), silver penny, hammer cross type, issued 1059-1062, (1.35 g), obv. crowned bust bearded right with sceptre, EDPAR D REX around, rev. short cross voided with crescents at each end, PVLFRIC ON HAESTI around, (Wulfric of Hastings), (S.1182, N.828, BMC xi). Toned, extremely fine, a rare mint.
