Netherlands, under Spain, Brabant (duche de), Philip IIII, (1621-1665), silver half ducaton, 1652?, Antwerp mint, (15.90 g), obv. traces of PHIL IIII D G HISP ET INDIAR REX. 16 52, mm. hand?, bust of Philip IV to right, rev. around traces of ARCHID. AVST. DV x .BVRG. BRAB. Zc, crowned arms with lion support, below jewel of the Golden Fleece, (KM.49). Lightly toned, nearly fine.
Ex Status International Sale in 2007, No.242 (lot 9353).
With certificate stating to be from the wreck 'Vliegenhart' a shipwreck of February 3, 1735.
