Description

China, on old stock containing stamps of China, noted used Hall of Classics issues for $1, $2, $5, $10, $20 (SG 328-332 last with CV £450 illustrated), 1948 Central and South China 1948 set mint (SG CC21-26 CV £95), Victory set North China in blocks of 4, and many multiple singles stamps (SG NC17-24, CV £150 per set of singles) and a few used, "Unit" stamps of 1949 as blocks of 4 (SG 1211A-1214A, CV £440); lot also includes a few issues from Straits Settlements, India, Brunei; multiple examples of SG NE56, NE57 (1 example only), assorted Mao issues including N-E China People's Post (SG NE133-136), Shanxi-Suiyuan Border (SG NC238, 240, 241) and others also quantities of the Matyrs issues for various denominations and many with over-prints; also two covers (9x$1, other 3x$1, $5 with O/P 'Hwa Pei' for Japanese Occupation of North China.
