Victory advancing to right with wreath and palm, around VICTORIA AVGG, (cf.S.2580, RIC 49b, RSC 227); Philip II, (as Caesar), (A.D. 244-247), silver antoninianius, Rome mint, issued 245-6, (4.64 g), obv. radiate bust to right, around M IVL PHILIPPVS CAES, rev. Spes advancing to left, holding flower and lifting skirt, around SPES PVBLICA, (S.9245, RIC 221, RSC 84); another, issued Jan-Feb 247 A.D., (4.19 g), obv. radiate draped bust right, rev.
