Maximinus I, (A.D. 235-238), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued 235-6, (24.09 g), obv. around MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG GERM, laureate bust, draped to right of Maximinus, rev. around PAX AVGVSTI, Pax standing left, holding olive branch and sceptre, S C across, (S.8332, RIC 58, C.34). Attractive green and brown toning, mild smoothing, good very fine and scarce.
