Augustus, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, Lyons mint, issued c.8-7 B.C. (3.70 g), obv. laureate head of Augustus to right, around AVGVSTV[S] DIVI F, rev. C CAES above and [AVGVS F] in exergue, C. Caesar galloping to right, with right hand holding reins, left hand a sword and shield, behind Aquila, between two standards, (S.1596, RIC 199, C.40, BMC 500). Pitted surface, fine and a scarce issue.
