Augustus, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, Uncertain Spanish mint (Colonia Patricia), issued c.18 B.C. (3.02 g), obv. toga picta over tunica palmata between Aquila (Legionary eagle) and wreath to right, above [S].P.Q.R. PARE, below CONS. SVO, rev. slow quadriga to right, panels ornamented, surmounted by four minature galloping horses, in exergue CAESARI AVGV[STO], (cf.S.482, RIC 96, C.80, BMC 401). Lightly toned, surface pitting and scratches, fine and rare.
