Republic, Anonymous (Aes Grave) Series, (c.269-225 B.C.), Rome mint, AE sextans, (43.42 g), obv. scallop shell, two pellets across field, rev. caduceus, two pellets across field, sickle to lower right, (S.553, Cr.25/8, Syd.48, Thurlow & Vecchi 40). Attractive green toning, slightly uneven flan, nearly very fine and rare.
