Description

Roman, a hoard of 4th century coins, mostly Constantius II, a few of Contantius Gallus, all bronze maiorina, coming mostly from Alexandria Mint, with a few others from Cyzicus, Constantinople and Antioch Mints. Most of the coins have the usual green oxidation but can be restored, they average in wear fine - nearly extremely fine. (52)

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection.

The hoard comes with no providence of purchase but was probably a local purchase originally coming from a soldiers find in Egypt during either world wars.
