Nero, (A.D. 54-68), AE sestertius issued c.65, Lugdunum (Lyons) mint, (25.12 g), obv. laureate head to right of Nero, globe at point of bust, around NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER P M TRP IMP P P, rev. Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory and parazonium, ROMA in exergue, S C across field, (S.1961, RIC 442, WCN 421, BMC 324-5). Attractive dark patination, good very fine with an strong portrait, rare in this condition.
