C. Egnatius CN.F.CN.N. Maxsumus, (c.75 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.74 g), obv. Cupid winged laureate bust, to right, MAXSVMVS behind, rev. Jupiter and Liberty within distyle temple, C. EGNATIVS. CN.F/ CN.N. in exergue, (S.325, Cr.391/2, Syd.788, B.Egnatia 3). Fine and very rare.
Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 62, lot 2421 and previously Downie's auction sale 130 July 1, 1980, (lot 47). Only 20 obverse dies used on this type as determined by Crawford.
