Memorial Plaque WWI, named to St. Clair King Nixon Laing. Cleaned, two pierced holes at top edge, otherwise fine.
Second Lieutenant St. Clair King Nixon Laing, 7th Bn Royal Munster Fusiliers, died 02Apr1917 at the age of 42, buried at Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension, Bailleul, Departement Nord, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France. Second Lieutenant Laing was wounded in action but on recovery he returned to France when, after a few days, he contracted pneumonia and died. He is remembered under Kilglass town-land on the eight sentinel stones of the County Sligo WWI Memorial.
