Group of Five to WIA: 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. First three medals unnamed, VX22903 R.L.Kerr on last two medals. Named medals impressed. First two medals with some oxidation, otherwise fine - extremely fine.
Together with Rising Sun collar badges (KC) (2, one bronze, one oxidised bronze); Australia oxidised bronze shoulder titles; modern colour patch for 2/5 Aust Infy Bn on descriptive card; spare ribbons for last three medals and original damaged ribbons for first two.
Raymond Leslie Kerr, Driver Transport, age 28, born at Warrnambool, Vic; Enl.20Jun1940 at Caulfield, Melbourne, Vic; Emb.02Apr1941; AWL on a few occasions and on one of these sentenced to 14 days Confined to Barracks; WIA 31Jan1943 GSW face, neck and back, New Guinea; RTA 11Feb1943; Emb.27Aug1943; RTA 23Sep1943 and classified by Medical Board as medically fit to carry out certain duties which require only reduced medical fitness; Disch.24May1944 as Private ex 6 RFTS 2/5Bn, to Reserved Occupation; Died 27Jun1982.
