Brian Sydney Wright, labourer, born 10May1920 at Adelaide, Sth Aust; Enl.14May1940 at Adelaide, Sth Aust in 2/27Bn with 2 years previous service in 18th MG Regt as Sergeant; Emb.20Oct1940 for Middle East; to Cpl 25Oct1940; to Sgt 01Dec1941; Died of injuries at 2/4 Fld Amb 16Dec1941, received in Syria when driving a truck on duty on 12Dec1941 and ran off the road when crossing a bridge (no negligence involved); Buried at Beirut War Cemetery, Lebanon.
