Queen's South Africa Medal 1899, (type 2 reverse), - four clasps - Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill. 23 Pte T.Ken-Nerly, W. Aus: M.R. Impressed. Toned good very fine.
Thomas Ken-nerly, engineer, age 29 of NSW with previous service of 9 months in NSW Volunteers, 2nd (Mounted Infantry) Contingent; contingent comprised 6 officers and 97 other ranks; Emb.03Feb1900; RTA 07Nov1900; Disemb.08Dec1900; Disbanded 07Mar1901.
Note: Surname recorded on one roll as Ken-nerly and on other roll as Kennerly and is impressed on medal as Ken-nerly).
