Description

Trade plate, late 19th century, appears to be a lock-plate for fitting to a safe, features Royal arms above the trade name of George Dyke's, Melbourne, in bronze (13x22.3cm), with two keyholes. Some spots of light oxidation, otherwise nearly fine.

George Dyke was an iron safe manufacturer in the 1880s. He became insolvent in 1886.
