Aboriginal Breast Plate, 1800s, crescent shaped in brass (approx 15x12cm), holed at each end for chain suspension, engraved at left side with an image of an emu facing left next to a native plant, on the right side is a kangaroo facing left next to a native plant, the middle is inscribed "TOMMY/DANGAR/KING/OF/ABERBALDIE" around an engraved image of an aboriginal. Good fine.

Reported to have been found in the McDonald River in the New England region of NSW c1890s and has remained in the same family since.
