Drago Marin Cherina, (born 1949), original bronze sculpture, c.mid-1970s, depicting a reclining nude, her arms folded behind her head with legs slightly crossed, 230mm long, signed Cherina, on custom wooden base. Attractive green patina, very fine and rare.
Cherina was born in Korcula, Croatia. He moved to England, where he worked as an assistant to Henry Moore. He came to Australia in 1975 to do a bust of Prime Minister, Gough Whitlam, and arranged to be naturalised in his office.
