al-Nasir Nasir abu al-Sa`adat al din Faraj, first reign, (A.H. 801-808) (A.D. 1399-1405), gold heavy dinar, (10.55 grams), Al Qahira mint (Cairo, Egypt), A.H. 806 = A.D. 1403-1404, obv. & rev. six lines of legend with various symbols in the field, (A.977, Balog 618, same obverse die to that illustrated in Balog). Flat for portion of the coin, otherwise good very fine and rare for this date.
