VAN DIEMEN'S LAND, hand written cheque Hobart Town 1st May 1840 for £350, signed John Glover to Gamaliel Butler, crossed by Butler accepted payable at the Commercial Bank, one signature on the back appears to be C.S.Henty, rubber ink stamp of Bank of Australia. Pin or spike hole in Launceston on front centre, otherwise good very fine and important, as associated with the leadng artist John Glover.
