al-Musta'in, (A.H. 248-251) (A.D. 862-866), gold dinar, Surra Min Raa Mint (Samarra on the Tigris), A.H. 250 = A.D. 865, with additional field inscriptions 'Heir Al'Abbas' on the reverse and 'li-Ilah' (to Allah) and 'Al-Musta'in', (the caliph's name), (A.233, cf.BMC 337 [but silver dirhem]). Weak in places, otherwise good very fine and very rare.
