Clodius Albinus, (A.D. 195-197), silver denarius, Rome mint issued A.D. 194-5, (3.81 g), obv. bare head of Clodius Albinus to right, around D CL SEPT ALBIN CAES, rev. around SAEC FRVGIF COS II, Saeculum Frugiferum, radiate, standing to left, bare to waist and holding caduceus and fork, (S.6147, BMC pg.37, RIC 8, RSC 65). Toned with some hoard patination, very fine and very rare.

This rare issue depicts Saeculum Frugiferum, an African deity known as Aion Karpophoros who was worshipped in Albinus' home city of Hadrumentum as the personification of the fertility of the age.
