Trajan, (A.D. 98-117), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued 99, (25.04 g), obv. laureate head of Trajan to right, around IMP CAES NERVA TRAIAN AVG GERM P M, rev. Concordia seated to left, holding patera over altar and a double cornucopiae, around T R POT COS II, S C in exergue, (S.3213, RIC 388, cf.C.619). Dark green patina, very fine or better and very scarce.
Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 95, 5492 and previously the Cappenalle Collection and from the collection of Francois-Ernest de Salm-Reifferscheid, (1698-1770), (Bishop of Tournai 17 Dec 1731 to 16 Jun 1770).
