Augustus as Octavian, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, uncertain Italian mint (probably Brundisium, possibly Rome), issued 32-29 B.C., (3.29 g), obv. Octavian head bare to right, in dotted circle, rev. CAESAR on left downwards and DIVI F on right upwards, Pax standing to left draped, holding olive branch in left hand and cornucopiae in right hand, (S.1551, RIC 252, RSC.69, BMC 605). Toned, banker's marks on obverse, good fine and rare.
