Netherlands, under Spain, Philip II (1555-1598), Philip daalder, 1557, Brabant (Antwerp), (32.96 g), obv. cuirassed bust left, dated below 1557, rev. crowned arms with the jewel of the Golden Fleece, on a cross made of knotty staves dividing two steels, (Dav.8621/3); Delmonte 11). Slightly weakly struck in places but very fine, with a good portrait, scarce.
