Tasmania, a group of swimming and life saving medals, 1925-1929, all inscribed to R.H.Bousfield of Hobart, includes Hutchins School Hobart, award medals in bronze (4); ASA, fobs in sterling silver (3); Royal Life Saving Society, award of merit in silver, 1925-26 (in case of issue); in bronze award medal, 1925-26; R.L.S.S, 1933 bars and ribbon; also Victoria League of Tasmania, medal in silver (31mm) with Queen Victoria bust on obverse, uninscribed, however it is accompanied with a newspaper clipping noting it was awarded to George Wainwright of Jack-Lane Council School for an essay competition. Good very fine - extremely fine. (11)

Robert Hugh Bousfield was born in 1911 and enrolled at the Hutchins School, Hobart in 1922 where he excelled at swimming.
