Maximianus, (A.D. 286-305 first reign), AE follis, Treveri Mint, issued A.D. 303-5, (10.76 g), obv. laureate cuirassed bust of Maximianus to right, around IMP MAXIMIANVS P AVG, rev. around GENIO POPV LI ROMANI, Genius standing to left, holding patera and cornucopiae, PTR in exergue, S F in left and right field, (cf.S.13241, RIC 576b) (illustrated); another, Cyzicus Mint, issued 297-99, (8.46 g), rev. K**D* in exergue, (S.13269, RIC 12b); quarter follis, Alexandria Mint, issued 308, (2.97 g), obv. around D N MAXIMIANO FELICISSIM, laureate bust right in imperial mantle, right hand raised, rev. PROVIDENTIA DEORVM around, Providentia standing right, extending hand to Quies standing left, B in lower centre, mintmark ALE, (S.-, RIC 87b). Toned, good very fine - nearly extremely fine. (3)
